Opposition Spokesperson for Tourism and Cruise Shipping, Shahine Robinson, today congratulated Mr. Paul Pennicook on his appointment as Jamaica’s Director of Tourism.

In so doing, she noted that Mr. Pennicook served as Director of Tourism between 2003 and 2006 and has a long track record of leadership in the tourism industry.

TOWN CLERK Robert Hill has refused to disclose, at this time, how much has been budgeted to renovate the mayor's parlour at the Kingston and St Andrew Corporation.

Asked why he would not reveal the amount at this time, the town clerk said he did not want the issue to be "glamourised".
