The Leader of the JLP, Andrew Holness, speaking at the Party's Central Executive meeting today, stated that the JLP was pleased by the recently released poll results, but would continue to remain focused.

Opposition Spokesman on Justice, Senator Alexander Williams, says that The Jamaica Labour Party welcomes the Criminal Records (Rehabilitation of Offenders) Bill which was passed in the Lower House. 

“Nothing was in the Prime Minister’s Speech for Jamaica” was the immediate response from the JLP to Simpson Miller’s address today at its 76th Annual Conference. The issues explored were major economic issues which did not address things affecting the daily lives of the average Jamaican citizen, JLP Deputy General Secretary Audley Gordon, insisted.

General Secretary of the Jamaica Labour Party Dr. Horace Chang is today calling on the Cabinet to look into the management of the health sector by Dr. Fenton Ferguson as he is failing to provide proper leadership at the Ministry of Health.
