Leader of the Opposition Mr Andrew Holness today tabled the following questions in the Houses of Parliament:

Black River, St. Elizabeth;  Floyd Green, JLP Caretaker for South West St. Elizabeth, is today calling on Member of Parliament Hugh Buchanan to take urgent steps to have the Watchwell to Lacovia Road repaired.

Green’s call comes against protests held by the residents in the constituency today which saw them blocking the thorough-fare between Mountainside and Burnt Savannah due the poor road conditions.

Opposition Spokesman on Justice and Justice Reform, Senator Alexander Williams, has noted, with grave concern, the discord between the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and that of the Independent Commission of Investigations, heightened by the actions of the DPP, in R v Gary Thomas (et al), the “Kentucky Kidd” murder case.

JLP Spokesman on Housing Dr. Horace Chang has again expressed outrage at the illegality of the decision by the National Housing Trust to purchase the failed Trelawny based attraction, Outameni Experience and is calling on the government for full disclosure of details on the controversial deal.

Opposition Spokesman on Housing Dr. Horace Chang has asserted that the National Housing Trust (NHT) is failing its contributors under the government's current leadership, and particularly through the activities of its Chairman Mr. Easton Douglas. Dr. Chang said that Mr Douglas could in fact be considered to be destroying the dream of Michael Manley to provide affordable housing for Jamaicans.
