Kennedy Was A Nation Builder - Holness

Opposition Leader Andrew Holness has hailed Francis Kennedy as a nation builder and a visionary. In responding to news of Mr. Kennedy's death, Mr. Holness said: "Paco was a national builder. His innovative thinking and visionary approach to business has seen the employment of thousands of Jamaicans through Grace Kennedy." "We are particularly impressed by his efforts to rebuild Downtown Kingston and his leadership in the private sector."

According to Mr. Holness, Mr. Kennedy was a good example of how to balance business interests, with the interest of the country as a whole. "In my interactions with him over the years, I was always impressed with his passion to see the development of Jamaica. This passion is an essential lesson for all of us, who are interested in seeing Jamaica turn the economic and social corner".

Mr. Holness added that the entire Jamaica Labour Party mourns the passing of this great Jamaican and are interested in assisting in preserving his distinctive and progressive legacy.

The Opposition Leader extended sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
