"Tragic and deeply saddening" is how  Dr Horace Chang, Member of Parliament for North West St. James responded on receiving the news of the discovery of the bodies of twin boys who recently drowned in Montego Bay.

"I have extended my deep condolences to the family of the twin boys Brendon and Braydon Jones  whose bodies were discovered this morning at the Dump Up beach in Mobay. In fact a family member has actually been hospitalised due to the shock they have experienced as a result of this tragedy.'

"That these children entered the world together and left it together really exemplifies the deep bond they shared as twins.  When I think that one boy seeing his brother being swept away, bravely jumped into the raging waters to try to save him, it really deepens my sadness."

The JLP General Secretary said that he will be maintaing contact with the family to ascertain the support needed to help them during this monumental family tragedy.

Dr Chang went on to note the need to review the state of our drainage systems as well as the guidance we give to our children on how to handle storm situations.  He said that apart from acknowledging the tragedy, the authorities and wider society should think about these two matters as well.
