Bartlett Calls for Immediate Release of St. Kitts and Nevis' 2015 Election Results

The Jamaica Labour Party’s (JLP) Spokesperson on Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Mr. Edmund Bartlett, is this evening calling on the St. Kitts and Nevis’ Supervisor of Elections, Mr. Wingrove George, “To act expeditiously in announcing the final results of the country’s 2015 election, in order to preserve the long established democratic traditions of St. Kitts and Nevis and the CARICOM region.”

Mr. Bartlett further expressed that, “The JLP is anxious that this pillar of our democracy be upheld, so as to preserve the stability of our region and the principles of democratic elections, as the basis of deciding on governance in our island states.”

“The Prime Minister Dr. Denzil Douglas, must do the honourable thing, by joining the chorus of democratic leaders of the region and call for an immediate release of the election results, so that his beautiful country -,our sister state, can  settle down and move forward", Mr. Bartlett concluded.
