Opposition Leader Andrew Holness, today received the IMF Chief Christine Lagarde and her team in a courtesy call at his office at West Kings House Road.

A letter detailing the Opposition’s position on the current Extended Fund Facility, which was prepared and signed by Finance Spokesperson Audley Shaw, was handed directly to the IMF Chief by Mr Holness.

Opposition Spokesman on Health Dr. Kenneth Baugh today said he is extremely concerned about the PNP Administration's management of the Health Sector which has led to considerable tensions and industrial action.  He called on the Minister to directly intervene in the dispute now underway between junior doctors and the Ministry of Health.

Opposition Spokesman and Member of Parliament for North Central St. Andrew, Mr. Karl Samuda, is today demanding answers from the National Water Commission (NWC) which he says is far advanced in its plans to remove some 7000 cubic metres or an estimated 400 truck loads of sand in the first phase, from the Hermitage Dam.
