URGENT: PNP Member Pulls Gun on JLP Councillor

February 23, 2016

A PNP motorcade passing through Olympic Gardens this afternoon became violent in a confrontation with JLP Councillor Delroy Williams. Councillor Williams had a gun pulled on him by one of the members of the PNP motorcade. A police report has been filed at the Hunt's Bay Police Station.

The JLP is shocked that the PNP would sink so low as to resort to violence and intimidation. This violent confrontation is an insult to Jamaicans and unworthy for a democracy such as ours. Their actions must be a direct result of the PNP's realisation that people are rejecting their failed policies. They would rather intimidate people than debate. Jamaica deserves better.

So, once again, we call for a free and fair election, free from violence.
